Coming from a Devon family with a history in the trade going back four generations, it was almost a given that Neil Barrett would follow his ancestors into tailoring and fashion design, but he has taken it to heights his forebears would only have dreamed of - immediately after graduating from Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art, he was snapped up by Gucci as their new Senior Men's Designer, then after five years he went to Prada as Design Director of their new Prada Menswear collection.

In 2009, Barrett felt the time had come to establish his own label and opened a studio in Tuscany, where his collections are still designed and developed to this day. One of the most successful young British fashion designers of the last two decades, his company now has 31 boutiques stocking only his own designs as well as more than five hundred around the world which also sell other brands. His collections have proved highly popular with celebrities: Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, Colin Firth, Lenny Kravitz, Ewan McGregor and Chris Martin have been seen many times in Barrett's menswear and shoes, while his women's collections are worn by Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston. He lists uniform, both official and industrial, as his main inspiration, which has led to his work appearing in blockbuster films when a director seeks a particular look - including I, Robot, Spiderman 2 and Spiderman 3.

The Elevated Moccasin gents shoe design very much shows that inspiration, taking the rugged and purposeful minimalism of the shoes worn by police officers and security guards but adding more than just a touch of luxury: they're hand-made in Italy by artisans using traditional techniques using only the finest Italian leather. However, traditional they are not, for the design adds two unexpected twists - the thick, chunky, semi-platform soles and, at the back of the heel cap, a ball-ended silvertone ring resembling the type often used for body piercing. Though perhaps a little too radical a design for those of more conservative tastes, they certainly catch the eye and appeal to a wearer who likes to be the centre of attention.

Still available brand new today, unworn Elevated Moccasins retail at £455. This pair have been supplied to our charity by a very well-known high end shoe shop specialising in the very best haute couture footwear and accessories. They are 100% authentic items with all correct logos and features, and are not “seconds”. They will be supplied in the correct and original boxes bearing the logos of the manufacturer complete with any accessories included when new.

They have been worn only once, by a model during a photo shoot. As such, they are in superb, nearly new condition but do please note the extremely minor wear to the soles as depicted in the eleventh photograph; there is also some minor scuffing to the uppers which is too light to show up in our photos, and can be removed with a light polish. The brand logos printed on the cushioned insoles show no wear at all, but there are some tiny spots of white discolouration around them; we have taken this, the soles and the scuffs into consideration when setting a price.

Change of Mind

If when you receive your order you are not completely satisfied, you may return the items to us within 30 days for a refund. Returns will be processed within three working days once the goods have been received by us.

Around 4,000 patients are cared for each year at the Hospice in Cambridge, the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre in Wisbech and in patients’ own homes via the Arthur Rank Community Team. This care supports people to improve their quality of life and fulfil their end of their life choices.

Alongside the care provided by the Inpatient Unit, Living Well services and Hospice at Home teams, patients can access: patient and family support; lymphoedema care; complementary therapy; medical and pain outpatient clinics; and advice from the clinical nurse specialists within the Specialist Palliative Care Home Team. Programmes are practical, holistic and tailored to the individual patient, family member or carer and may also include rehabilitative support, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychological support.

It will cost £10.5 million in 2021/2022 to run services, which are provided free of charge to patients and their loved ones. Contracted services from the NHS are budgeted at £6.98 million, meaning that £3.52 million needs to be raised through donations, fundraising activities and trading. The Charity is extremely grateful to the local community for the continual dedication, commitment and generosity they show in supporting towards meeting this target.
